April 11th is the day University of Ghana decides on which of the many aspirants it would place in the Union Building to handle the reins of government for the next academic year.
Unfortunately, the student body was held in stupor since morning when elections; so much anticipated received the poorest patronage we ever could have imagined. This is largely because of the internet reception that most halls are receiving; or not receiving. Especially in the diaspora and BET, the slow internet connection is making it almost impossible to automatically send and collate results through the voting machines.
Rumor swirling across UG campus has it that the much awaited elections is being called off by the Electoral Commission. After diligently meeting with SRC office aspirants, the EC feels its needless too continue an election that seemed stale from the start and as such has made a vital decision to postpone it.  The date set anew is so far unclear.
