Some parts of the administration block of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has been vandalized by students protesting against students brutality.

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of KNUST has organized a demonstration in protest of the university’s VC and management following the arrest of over 10 students of the University. The students were arrested for holding vigil on campus last Friday without permission according to the school authorities. Other students were also brutalized by the campus securities some of which are still battling for their lives at the University hospital.
Most of the students are clad in red and black clothes and have mounted roadblocks on some major roads on the KNUST campus.
The demonstration which started as a peaceful one has degenerated into the destruction of offices on campus and the administration block of the university.
A 2013 registered ford vehicle belonging to the dean of students was also destroyed in the process.
Some security posts were also destroyed with the security personnel having to run for their lives.
