KNUST to reopen on Friday 16th November

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) will be reopened on Friday, November 16, 2018.
This was announced in a statement signed by the registrar of KNUST, Mr. A.K. Boateng on Tuesday afternoon, after the school’s new Governing Council was constituted and new members sworn in.
The statement reads – It is announced for the information of the students, staff of KNUST and the general public, that the council of the University, at its 251st (special) meeting held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, in consultation with the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has directed that the University should be re-open on Friday, November 16, 2018, following the closure on Monday, October 22, 2018.
Lectures will resume on Monday, November 19, 2018.

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology had been closed down since October 23, after a student protest turned violent, leading to the destruction of school property.
