Otting-Led UG SRC Administration Gets 38.89% In LOPA Assessment

LOPA Legon, a student-lead think tank in the University of Ghana with chapters in other campuses has given the Presidency of the University of Ghana Students’ Representative Council manned by Daniel Otting Awuah and Moses Baafi Acheampong, president and vice president respectively a failure score of  for the implementation of policies being over 180 days in office.
The assessment was based on Work Done on Policies, projection for accomplishment of policies by end of tenure and commitment towards accomplishment of policies.
Overall, the entire administration comprising the President, vice president, treasurer and secretary scored 43.44% for the over 180 days in office. Treasurer of the SRC Madam Ethel Donkor scored a low 19% whilst her colleague Janet Maame Serwaa scored 71.20% for the implementation of their campaign promises after 180 days in office.
The review which was done for both main and city campus SRC’s. According to the President of LOPA Daniel Amewor, the assessment ”is based strictly on the policies presented by the executives and how they are implemented once in office. We do not focus necessarily on the constitutional mandates or any other ‘core’ function of each executive.”
