The University of Ghana SRC President, Mr. Daniel Otting Awuah has congratulated the University of Ghana Parliament House for winning the Inter-tertiary Debate Competition held at the Balme library yesterday
The University of Ghana Parliament House(UGPH) under the auspices of the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) and the US Embassy hosted the Inter-tertiary debate on the premises of the University of Ghana.
The theme of the debate was “Empowering the youth in the fight against corruption” and the motion that was “What will you prioritize and why: A Special Prosecutor or a Right to Information Law”.
The participating institutions were: University of Ghana Parliament House, Accra Technical University Parliament House, Central University College Parliament House and the Islamic University College Parliament House.
The SRC President of the University of Ghana extended his congratulations to the Legon team by releasing a statement recognizing their efforts.
The Statement reads : “I will like to extend this note of congratulations personally to the team from the University of Ghana Parliament House that won the IEA Debate yesterday. You made us proud and we cannot celebrate you enough. The SRC acknowledges your efforts and would commit to anything that would propel you to higher heights. We are proud of you.”
