Students of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology went to the polls today to elect executive officers of their SRC to steer the affairs of the council into the next academic year.
After an intense and heated campaign, David Dannah emerged victorious as he polled 4,142 votes as against his closest contender Bruce Yeboah Gyampoh who only managed 2,981 votes. The others, Rashad Ahmed Nakpan and Chris B polling 2,394 and 2,325 votes respectively.
David Dannah wasn’t tipped by many as the likely winner of this election but he was able to successfully pull the strings to make him the next SRC President of KNUST.
He went into the election with a level 200 running mate, Julio Paolo Caesar King Mensah in what many saw and described as a politically incorrect decision based on the convention of electioneering pairs always being Level 300s.
