Bribery Scandal Confirmed | LegonConnect Stands Strong

I don’t usually get involved in matters having to do with campus politics, but when the integrity of a hard working individual is tampered with just to cover up an issue which would have been better resolved by tackling the cause, tempers begin to flare and an otherwise quiet guy is tempted to become loud with a pen and paper.
I have read many publications involving this particular bribery scandal, most of which comes from either people dissociating themselves from the scandal or trying to drag the hard-earned name of LegonConnect.com in the mud. It saddens me to realize how people deliberately refuse to acknowledge the truth even when it is staring them directly in the face.
The entire issue was being diverted away from the fact that Emmanuel Attobrah (deputy TESCON treasurer) demanded a bribe from the SRC Secretary hopeful and made to look as if the article from LegonConnect.com was targeted at destroying the image of the TESCON president (Livinus Kweku Bondzie). The only reason the name of Livinus Bondzie appeared in the article was because Emmanuel used his name as a medium in trying to obtain money from the SRC secretary hopeful. LegonConnect is not politically motivated, so this has nothing to do with TESCON or the TESCON president. Anybody who has read the article can clearly see that its focal point was not to mar the image of any individual but rather to bring to light an unscrupulous occurrence which undermines the integrity of the SRC elections.
The most credible and transparent account of the bribery scandal I have chanced upon so far was an interview held on Radio Univers. Even with that, the TESCON president kept diverting the topic from Emmanuel demanding for a bribe and basing his arguments on the point that the story was concocted by his opponents to tarnish his image. Livinus Bondzie, the bribery scandal was not about you. You were just implicated wrongly if your words are anything to go by. Stop personalizing the issue. From the interview, Tiger agreed he demanded the money from the lady and the lady affirmed that the money was demanded in exchange for endorsement. If this is not demanding for a bribe, what is? The fact that the lady called Tiger first doesn’t prove his innocence. She called because she was soliciting votes as she stated in the interview but Emmanuel tried to use that as an opportunity to demand a bribe.
The TESCON president, Livinus Bondzie called the CEO of LegonConnect.com, Israel Boafo Bansah after the bribery article was published and threatened to sue. He later called again to say he would not sue and that LegonConnect should write an article dissociating him from the scandal. While LegonConnect.com was trying to get his side of the story, he went on Radio Univers saying the article was a plot by his opponents to defame him. This statement was aimed at putting an unacceptable blot on the integrity of LegonConnect.com. I was utterly dismayed at the end of the radio interview when Emmanuel Attobrah tried to defame the SRC secretary hopeful by admonishing her followers to be wary of her because she cannot be trusted based on the fact that she leaked the audio tape of their conversation. How shameful! Glad the presenter did a good job by saying that was unacceptable.
Tackle the rot in your ranks and stop trying so hard to undermine LegonConnect.com. An article published on LegonConnect.com stated emphatically that the aim of the bribery scandal article was to uncover the truth and not to defame anyone. I read an article that referred to LegonConnect.com as a ‘KID’ site and described the writer of the article (Israel Boafo Bansah) as a “Politically Sponsored Hungry Blogger”. It’s funny the amount of pressure a ‘KID’ site has just put on you. You call a stand for truth and transparency reckless self-seeking! How mediocre can you get? Do the right thing and rebuke the actions of your deputy treasurer (Emmanuel Attobrah) instead of playing hide and seek with the issue at hand. LegonConnect.com is neither politically affiliated nor sponsored and would continue to stand for truth and transparency without fear or favour.
